The AMS PWC Hoist, also referred to as the “Jet Ski”, is an electric-powered, open-gear mechanical hoist intended for use primarily in boat lifts, but also cargo lifts and other specialized applications. The gearing is intentionally designed to be inefficient to hold the rated load without the need for other equipment such as a brake motor. The first reduction stage is achieved with a pulley and belt similar to the Flat Plate. This hoist is used mainly on PWC lifts by a wide variety of lift manufacturers.
