- Zinc plates (sacrificial anodes) protect boat lifts from galvanic corrosion and electrolysis by eroding instead of your lift's structural metal
- Helps with electrolysis
- For most lifts, it is recommended to hang one anode per 500 lbs of lift capacity or place them on areas directly exposed to the water.
- How to Install & Maintain
Attachment: Hang the zinc plate over the side of the boat lift and secure the stainless steel cable to the lift's frame, ensuring a solid metal-to-metal contact
Maintenance: Inspect the zinc anode periodically. Because it is a sacrificial metal, it is supposed to deteriorate.
Replacement: Replace the zinc plate once it has reduced to about half of its original size to maintain continuous protection for your lift.
